customers with an easy to use online payment system.
The customer logs on to a merchant's website; once the
logon details are verified, the customer will be issued with
a token which is the identifier for the customer's payment. This
operates in the background each time the customer logs on
to the website. The customer chooses their order and is
directed to make payment.
Your website ordering system sends a simple encrypted request
over the Internet to the SmartPay server. This request includes a
unique code to identify the merchant and the token number allocated
to the customer, plus a unique code to identify the payment, and
the amount of the payment.
The result of the transaction sent to the
merchant contains the unique code to identify the payment, a
result code, and a result message. The customer's token number is
retained by the database. The unique token number identifies the
customer's payment method each time the customer logs on to that
merchant's website to make a purchase.
