CHANGE OF NAME TO REFLECT AUSTRALASIAN FOCUS

AUCKLAND, 30 June 2011 - SmartPay (NZX: SPY), a
leading provider of payments and transactional solutions in New
Zealand and Australia, today announced that it intends to change
its name to Smartpay Holdings Limited. The change of name will take
effect on 15 July 2011. There will be no change to the company's
NZX ticker code which will remain "SPY".
The name change is being made in conjunction with the company's
recently announced plans for the Australian market which includes a
listing on the ASX and the focus of senior management into that
market. The new name reflects the company's primary role of being
the holding company for businesses and operations in both New
Zealand and Australia.
